Nina Granatir

Studio Director:
Nina is impassioned by yoga and the ways it connects to life off of the mat. She began practicing in 1993. She was immediately in love with the practice of yoga as it began to transform life on physical and emotional levels. She has studied many styles over the years, learning from various traditions such as Anusara, Bikram/Ghosh/Sanchez lineage, Yin, and Vinyasa/Baptiste Method. She completed her teacher training with Bikram Yoga Head Quarters in 2005, in 2013 with Tony Sanchez, with Baptise Institute in 2015, and most recently with Hot Body Barre. 
 
After managing yoga studios in the Seattle/Bellevue region, as well as in Northern California, Nina knew she was ready to open up her own studio. In 2011 Be Yoga Burien was born! Nina says, "Teaching yoga is the true gift of my life; it gives me the continuous opportunity to be a student."

Lesley Thompson

Lesley Thompson is excited to be a part of the Be Yoga Burien team! She is a Barre Instructor, dancer, dance educator, choreographer, and yoga teacher. Lesley grew up dancing and has danced professionally for many years. After moving to Seattle from Las Vegas, she took her first barre class and fell in love with the physicality and gracefulness of the movement. In early 2015 she attended barre teacher training and has been teaching barre ever since. She began teaching yoga a short time after.  Lesley's background in dance, yoga, and barre have built a foundation for a class that is physically demanding and draws inspiration from all forms of dance and music. Her classes are authentic and focus on bringing out your strength, confidence, and connection to self.

Lyndsie Couet

Lyndsie, Teacher,
Lyndsie is a yoga teacher, RYT 200. After first trying yoga in 2002, she practiced inconsistently and tried several types of yoga, but it was after several years in a stressful, sedentary job that she came back to her practice for physical health and fitness as well as stress relief. It became apparent that yoga would remain a necessary part in her life. Yoga has made such a difference in her health, happiness and overall satisfaction with life that she decided to share her passion for yoga with others by teaching.

Lyndsie's goals as a teacher are to impart joy and passion for yoga to others, for students to see yoga not just as a way to fitness, but as a way to relax the mind, de-stress, slow down and achieve greater focus. Her goal is to help others listen to their bodies and gain self-awareness, while encouraging a positive self-image, feelings of empowerment and self-care. To do this, she focuses the class on proper form and technique, prioritizing alignment and safety, and strings it all together with her unique delivery of enthusiasm, fun, and words of encouragement.

Lyndsie considers herself forever a student, attends training and workshops whenever able, and reads books and articles on yoga, anatomy, meditation, health and nutrition. Her goals for her students are to love practicing yoga as much as she does, get in and out of postures safely, feel awesome, become healthier and happier in their lives on and off the mat, and ultimately spread kindness to others.

Anne Laurel

This is a fun, beginner friendly class that combines yoga, pilates, and HIIT (high-intensity-interval-training) principles to build strength in the core, legs, and back muscles of the body. We work the entire body from head to toe.

Each class will follow the same basic format of using Vinyasa flow (yoga) to warm up, introducing weights throughout our flow.  This class is designed to create long, lean muscle mass, burn fat and increase fitness levels. Get ready to burn, burn, burn and have fun doing it!  Beginners welcome!
